What a mess Ike made around town! Like I said, we stayed home and watched the storm from here. My kids didnt even skip a beat! We lost power Sat. morning at 5AM and we did not get it back until today, Friday. We went 6 days without power, water, or sewer. We stayed at home for two days until we couldnt take it anymore then went to some friends house for the day. My parents power came on Monday so we headed over there! For those that know where we live....it is only 3 streets from my parents in the same neighborhood! I could not believe it took 5 more days to get power than them. Oh well. At least they live close!!! Frank, my dad, and a few clean up crews came to help clean my dad's yard and ours. Good thing the help came because it would had been a HUGE job for 2. We had a few trees down in the back but that is really it. We made it out pretty good!
The power came on and now we are out of here!! We leave Sunday morning for vacation. Here we come Mexico! It is a much needed vacation. We are going with my family but leaving Brennan at home! Thanks Frank and Sandra for watching him while we are gone. I know he will have a blast!
I will post pictures when we get back in town. I will catch up with everyone on the 29th!

Mexico is WONDERFUL!!!!! If the weather is anything like it is right now in Playa, it will be HEAVEN!!! Have a great time! See you soon!!!!!

Have a great trip, our power came on last Monday and when you are without the everyday luxuries you learn to reallly appreciate them, sorry to hear that yours was off for so long. Have fun!!!
